I am reading a new book called "The power of now" its enjoyable and i have no doubt that it will help many people but like many books of this ilk i wonder for how long. The book for me and i am sure for many who have delved into philosophy, psychology and theology does not offer anything new but has distilled a collection of all ready "known" information. I just wonder if at all at what cost ? as it takes a Zen monk many years of training to reach "peace" of mind or a "believer" deep spiritual peace. I suppose part of my cynicism will always question this quick fix approach and truly if all the books that made a promise of a better happier you, then i am sure the world would be at peace now. But ignoring my own personal cynicism this is a very good book of this type.
Just finished a game i started yesterday called Kane&Lynch Dead Men by the same company that created the Hitman series. I found the game pretty average and disappointing compared to the Hitman Series.Even though its not meant to be like any of them, you cant help but expect the same standard and quality of previous game releases from this company. It seems a natural progression that us long term gamers would eventually become very hard to please and why not? many of us have been playing games for almost quarter of a century now. Well i want spend anymore time on the game it should of been released maybe 4 years ago and then could of achieved 8/10 but for now i eagerly await the next Hitman installment.
Well after 20 years using the internet and yeh i know the www has not been going that long but the net has as far back as the 50s believe it or not. My first introduction to surfing was through bbs.
So do i have a vast knowledge of the internet? nope I dont have a in depth knowledge of anything and just a little of everything, so basically i click and surf and of course play mmorpg.
I have always resisted all the social networking stuff and could never think what to write in a blog and being crap at grammar does not help, until i bought this book
